Multi-cinema and entertainment facilities represent a complex and challenging building type, one in which we have specialized — and excelled — over the past twenty-five years and designed greater than fifty facilities nationwide. The budgets for these projects ranged from two to seventeen million dollars, and each was developed with strict adherence to budgetary requirements and a high standard of quality.
Our retail design experience includes facilities that are attached to or integrated with movie theatres, malls and shopping centers. In addition to architectural and design work, we have also completed tenant improvement design and documentation work. Having worked through the process from every angle, we are able to foresee potential challenges and to suggest proactive solutions.
At STK, we have substantial design experience in a variety of community facilities, including community centers, libraries, aquatic centers, senior centers, learning centers, sports complexes, public safety facilities and more. Combining creativity, fiscal responsibility, technical experience and a team spirit, we work closely with our municipal and county clients to develop facilities their citizens appreciate, admire and can afford.
The design of contemporary worship centers requires the management of diverse design facets and involves a unique clientele. In addition to the spiritual experience, recreation, education, administrative, food service and retail functions must be integrated. Through the many religious facilities we’ve designed, we have endeavored to capture the meaning and richness of each faith’s expression, personal growth and mission.
STK has completed work on more than fifty fire station projects for various counties, cities and municipalities. We have also assisted these agencies in establishing prototype designs, which simplify plan review and document turnaround times and provide consistency of products and ease of maintenance.
Sustainable building design strives to balance environmental responsibility, resource efficiency, occupant comfort and community sensitivity. At STK, we include all the players — the client, the design and construction team, the maintenance staff and building occupants — in an integrated development process. The end result is a high-performance facility that maximizes the owner’s return on investment.
